1) Design conforms to FBC 2004, IBC 2003 and NDS 2001.
2) 1/4" thick Structural steel shall conform to ASTM A36, yield strength 36000 psi. Load value shown are based on Steel Stress without 33% increase.
3) All welding shall be minimum 1/4" with E70 electrodes and shall conform to latest AISC/AWS codes. All contact areas shall be fully fillet welded.
4) All 3/4" dia. bolts through wood shall be per ANSI/ASME Standard B18-2-1.
5) Lateral loads are based on table 11G, NDS-D2001 with two 1/4" side plates. The Lateral Loads shall not exceed the Truss chord Capacity.
6) Lateral loads combined with uplift loads, shall satisfy the following equation:
Actual Uplift
Allowable Uplift
+
Actual L1
Allowable L1
+
Actual L2
Allowable L2
<=
1.0
7) All ITW Ramset/Redhead Trubolt wedge anchors shall be per ICBO Evaluation Service report #ER-1372 issued March 1, 2000. Minimum anchor embedment shall be 6 5/8". Minimum normal weigh concrete shall be 2000 psi. Anchor diameter is 3/4". Bolt Values are without 33% increase.
8) All Power Fasteners wedge bolt anchors shall be per Miami-Dade NOA #00-0229.04 issued May 1, 2003. Minimum anchor embedment shall be 6". Minimum normal weight concrete shall be 2000 psi. Anchor diameter is 3/4". Bolt values are without 33% increase.
9) Uplift values shown are reduced for bolt spacing and edge distance per NOA #00-0229.04 and ER-1372. Uplift value shall not exceed Truss chord capacity.
10) Uplift values are also controlled by compression perpendicular to grain of 565 psi for Southern Pine per NDS-2001. For other species, contact Engineer for values.
11) Provide plywood shims to close the gap between truss chords to obtain full bearing and prevent bending of thru bolts.
12) All products are painted Royal Blue for easy identification.
